Let's have a full size '80s Hot Wheels Capri added to the thread!feebd8e975d19ef5576eae4bf0c05444.jpg

I will take your Trans Am Capri and raise you a Mustang Capri?

I was actually looking for Orange Capris for my thread "Orange is the New Black" but found this instead. That thread was meant to compliment the colour so thought this thread was the best place to banish it too.

It's definitely the same car, look at the front bumper corners. Plus I found other pics of both incarnations carrying the same number plate.

The thread has digressed a bit (which is fine) as it was originally meant to be for modern builds that people thought weren't in the best taste, but instead we're talking about older period builds. They may not be fashionable by today's standards but most people thought they were very cool back then.

Who knows, if our various project cars are around in 30 / 40 years, there may be someone in a club of forum saying "What were they thinking?? How could they murder those classic cars with so many modifications to engine and suspension components?" Actually, come to think of it, some people think that already

My old Capri White Heat I paid £500 for it in bits and still in that Mauve color I had it painted White again, sold it on in the mid 80s by then it had become as fashionable as a pair of flared trousers. If I had it now I would put it back to standard as it was a 3000 GT XLR not many of them made and the Dealer at Luton had modified it slightly Lumo cars fetch good money now like the Broadspeed of their day
