hi I bought a ford 100e last year the car was advertised as having the v5 but when my friend picked it up the docs were misplaced

I have tried contacting the person I bought it of but no response if I new how much hassle this was going to be would never have bought it

having now nearly completing the car I am having problems with the dvla issuing a log book the reg is 352 AOP  were will I get the vin number

the car has had loads of work done and I think the plate may have been removed I have the trim number still in place does any one have any ideas

Try an HPI check? Is it not stamped into the body somewhere? Or on a plate under the bonnet?
