RWL81P
best thing to do when retoring an old ford now, is to do what ive done. buy a set of number and letter stamps and try and stamp every major part that you put on. so far ive done the front floors, boot floor, rear axle, front x member, gearbox, recaro seat runners, bias pedal box, and roll cage. wont stop them from taking it but will make it harder to sell parts and you will know where to look when parts are for sale! Heard of that at Great Dorset Steam Fair one year. Someone had an old motorbike stolen from a display tent one night. The next day the owner was looking around the trade stands, picked up an item on a stall then put it down, went to the next stall, picked up another part, put it down & walked away, returning with a police officer. He pointed out the part on the first table & stated it was from his bike! When he was asked how he knew he pointed out that he had stamped every component. The bike had been stolen during the night, stripped down & the bits recovered from 3 stalls in a line!
