Filled up for the journey last night only to have fuel Pissing out the filler neck. Yep that cheap rubber hose I fitted as a temporary solution 6 years ago has seen better days! I stink of petrol now having drained a wedged tank and removed it. Will take this opportunity to address the undersized tank vent that gives me so much trouble when filling it. Mexican Gerbil Posted May 12, 2018 Author Report Share Posted May 12, 2018 Glad you enjoyed the day. Not many classic fords at all from what I saw on my little walks around. The young lady with the white Capri was on track most of the day. I was brave enough to take the Sierra out for a fast parade lap. So AA have got myself home. Believe the head gasket has gone due to loss of water and oil. Now I’m home I’ve whipped plugs out and 1&4 are missing tips. Compression test, 1,2&4 are low and 3 is extremely low.
