Paying out didn't pay off in the end! :x

I can't make it anymore as I am now heading over to deepest darkest Wales that day to strip down 2x MK3 Cortinas.

Does anyone fancy my OSF club stand car pass? It is not specific to any vehicle so anyone can use it. If anyone does want it they can have it for free other than postage which will be a quid or two.

Hi,

I think you might be the same person who put your pass up on the F###book page? I'm interested in taking my '69 Capri along seeing as the weather is due to be nice!

Please send me a message if you still have the pass so I can share my address and details.

Thanks,

Gary

After 2 brake downs I’ve made it. Bit thin on the ground. And yes the Sierra is my back up car. No track time now the Escort is ill.

Sorry to hear you're having mechanical issues too Chris. As you know, I didn't even make it out the garage. Filled up for the journey last night only to have fuel Pissing out the filler neck.

Yep that cheap rubber hose I fitted as a temporary solution 6 years ago has seen better days!

I stink of petrol now having drained a wedged tank and removed it. Will take this opportunity to address the undersized tank vent that gives me so much trouble when filling it.

P.S. I turned the place upside down yesterday looking for that flag, completely forgot I'd left it with you last time!

Didn't get there until 0930, the Mrs decided she was going to come just as I was about to leave the house.

Was worth it though, got invited on the parade lap to my surprise.

Glad you enjoyed the day. Not many classic fords at all from what I saw on my little walks around. The young lady with the white Capri was on track most of the day. I was brave enough to take the Sierra out for a fast parade lap.

So AA have got myself home. Believe the head gasket has gone due to loss of water and oil. Now I’m home I’ve whipped plugs out and 1&4 are missing tips. Compression test, 1,2&4 are low and 3 is extremely low.

Will get head off tomorrow.

Oh dear, what a shambles!

I didn't make it down with the Cortina and my tickets were not put to good use either unfortunately.

I will be there this Sunday though for another show and me Dad's taking his 280zx.
