Unexpected cam find!

Recommended Posts

I thought seeing as my drive to Santa pod for the Ford show is just under 2 hours I better sort out the leaking rocker cover gasket and while i'm at it replace the carburettor gasket for peace of mind. There was also a split breather pipe. While the rocker cover was off with a mirror I looked at the end of the cam, and low and behold, it's a piper 285! Result. If the cam has been done, i'm now wondering what else has been done. That will have to wait for now.

Before I go I also have braided Goodridge classic brake hoses and a lumenition electronic ignition kit to fit. My car has copper hoses at the front???, so they just have to go.

Copper HOSES? that's novel! Usually the only hose supplied with these kits are bits to replace the OEM rubber bits - the copper or steel lines usually remain.
