Rally Pack 2000
Was watching a car SOS episode and the briefly showed you a stereo they were installing in one of the cars. It was a modern Bluetooth type but it looked like an old 70s push button radio. Has anyone investigated these? Do any look like a 70s Ford radio possibly? The centre console of the Escort just looks odd with a modern LED illuminated Alpine thing in it.
Danish
I've seen some that look like a 1960s radio with chrome front. For a 1970s car, some of the European models had a push-button LW/MW radio. AFAIK Blaupunkt were the original manufacturers and also did an FM version. Once you have FM you can use a DAB->FM convertor or one of those cigar-lighter plug in MP3->FM adapters. Of course the Australian market may be completely different! deltamal
My Mk3 Tina still has it's original Clarion L/W M/W radio fitted, can't get a lot out of it though, modern gubbins inside it would be good!
Vista
There was the MEXICO (how appropriate is that?) From Becker a few years ago. Not sure what availability is like now though.

Thanks for the replies I wasn't sure if I was the only one that had thought about something more age appropriate in look for the car. As Danish mentions the ones I have seen are very chrome and shiny like they are meant for 50's American cars. Four thousand Euro is a bit out of my budget though! LOL That one is still a bit to decorative than I was after. The one on Car SOS just looked like a very basic black push button radio. There seems to be some 70's Blaupunkt that have been converted to accept some kind of modern input.
Confused
There seems to be a few more reasonably priced options from having a very quick look (this is an eBay search for "classic car radio bluetooth"): I've found one for £260: And one for £22: The first appears to have DAB, which might be nice - but certainly some options out there at a variety of price points! JP.
Take in account, DAB+ is the only radio source within a just few years as FM is phasing out in Europe allready. Retro radios are a waste of money if they come without the DAB+. There are allready DAB+ transmitters with the bleutooth and USB features you can stick in your siggy lighter socket that transmits a signal you can recieve on your old skool radio. Must say the one I have is still humming as I still tracing the noise interference caused by my old skool genuine Ford Capri electronics..

Black magic Very easy, use hyperlinks. If you click the little infinity symbol type icon beside the smilie face for the emoticons, it'll bring up the option to insert a Hyperlink. Insert the text you want in one box and the link in the other. Like this: Mexican Gerbil loves Dogs

The top one is close to what I had in my mind. Another company offers something similar when I tried to find that one. They seem to off the same one with chrome knobs or buttons or both. The orange display would be the deal breaker for me though. It has to be green to match the rest of the dash and clock illumination.
