The sun was shining, the cars were out for their first runs of the year and the Japs had their arses wupped by the Old Skool      OSFDC Round 1 got off to a great start at Shakespeare County Raceway on 18th/19th April with a few new cars, a new points system and a few pb's!  Including the maiden "flight" by Gareth Charlton of Classic Ford Mag in his Ashton powered MK2 Escort.    Full coverage of the OSFDC 2009 can be seen in Classic Ford Magazine.

Well done to Jayson2.3pinto for his first place, Kevmk1 for his second place and RichSav for his 3rd place with Best Burnout going to PC Capri and best reaction time of the day going to V8Cortina with a blistering 0.236 seconds earning him an extra 10 points in the championship.         Full results, times and points can be seen here.

Bob Bean and Malcom Smithson rubbed shoulders with Rally Greats Roger Clark and Tony Mason in the 1970s. Their Mk1 Escort sported original paintwork of the Yumping Bean, Bobs nickname at the time. Now in his 70s, Bob has been rallying a Mk1 Lotus Cortina.

However, he's recently bought a Mk1 Escort for the BHRC Championship. So, how should he paint it? Like his original car of course!!
