  1. So progress has been slow mainly due to getting the funds together for this. Combine this with the fact that brexit has added some additional shipping costs has meant I'm waiting to get all the money together then putting in 1 big parts order. I've been speaking to Dave and Luke at retroford (big thanks fellas) and have pretty much agreed on their stage 2 fitting kit with some additions. Swapping the flywheel for their lightened version and added in the atlas lsd. I've also started on getting the fuelling system started. The ST170 engine has been stripped and the block has been cleaned and painted. Just waiting now to get the breather on the rocker cover moved so I can paint it up. I hope to have a big update in about a month.

  4. I've also managed to tidy up the engine bay. Hoping to keep it as tidy as possible by keeping the wiring hidden and not putting in anything thats not essential.

  5. The chargecooler on the top of the engine has always been the highest point - I've always just used the pump to push air out of the system, which seems to have worked and the chargecooler itself always appears full of water when I've checked! In this configuration, I'll finally have enough flex on the hoses to actually place it lower than the reservoir!! The engine fans are controlled by the ECU via a solid state relay, and I've already programmed it to always be running at a slow speed when road speed is low. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  6. Thanks @sierra1off! Filming definitely does make the job take longer, getting camera angles, lighting etc right, plus re-recording segments because I realised I was talking rubbish! (Well, even more rubbish than what I left in the final edit!) Time for the next episode though, and in a bit of a change of pace, I try to cross a few outstanding tasks off my white board full of outstanding tasks!

  7. Bita progress on the A post over last while. Put hinge panel on door to locate before welding. Gaps not to bad to quarter panel and swage line looks good. Got the outer panel on then and now looking at outer sill. Wondering to overlap sill and lower A post or cut and butt weld.? Obviously if overlap will have edge which don't want.
