Up for sale: 1965 Ford Consul Corsair- £4,300/ Offers considered/ Swap - what have you got? I have owned this car for around 9 months now and bought it in a very sorry state. Since then I have had major works carried out by Tickover retro ford specialists in Dartford including a small amount of welding in the boot and pulling the engine and replacing all gaskets. I have replaced the two door locks on the car and the car is fitted with an insurance approved alarm and immobiliser. The car is fitted with a strong 1600 711m crossflow with a progressive weber and a straight through exhaust system with a cherry bomb. The only bad bits on the bodywork are on the outside and are on the bottom of the rear wing and a small patch on the drivers side sill. other than that the car is completely solid. I have also moved the battery to the boot. I have used it as a daily over the last 9 months and it has never let me down it just always keeps going. It is fitted with lowering springs upfront and 2 inch blocks on the rear. It has wolfrace slot mags all round with Cooper CS2 white letter tyres. Im selling because I am in the market for something a bit different and would be up for a swap with something like a mk1/mk2 Cortina 4 door or a mk1/mk2 escort 4 door - will consider anything old ford. Car is priced in line with the money I have in it with all receipts to prove it. It is fitted with two 6 inch speakers in the rear and a sony head unit. Other than this the interior and headlining is completely original and in very good condition, with the only difference being where the gearstick comes through in order to accomodate the later escort gearbox.
