  1. Just read up might give Chris Evans 1% of been able to talk about cars he does own a mk1 mex at least he gets something's right! Still think he very arrogant and clever and so far up his own rear end he needs a light on his head.
  2. Not a great fan of top gear anyway for what I have seen of them making a fuss over cars that 99% of us can't afford throwing them around a circuit sideways which I dare say most of could do with that amount of power. They always do it on a very wide circuit so there is plenty of space for error! They only show the laps they managed to complete without losing it completely andwhen they do show you its to spruce it up a bit. Don't think they have any driving credibility between them like ex rally/formula 1/2 or 3 driver unles you can count Hammond trying to commit suicide at Elvington trying to achieve somthing can't remember what. To me a motoring programme should be about cars we the general public buy, give them a good thrashing to highlight there problems/downfalls depreciation and so on. Call me boring old sod but I like throwing a car sideways like the next car fanatic but do it in something most of us could at least one day afford! That's my rant over have a nice day.
  3. Was thinking of attending this show but it's a 4 hour journey for me so was going to come down sat and stay till tues or weds any ideas on hotels or b&b near by where could leave car on trailer and have a look around the area Any ideas would be welcome

  6. Two colours look better that's my choice, welcome to osf mate
  7. This guy wants stringing up by the nether regions then put them on eBay. Don't think you would have to put a reserve on them because I would think a lot osf owners eager to bid and get them only to put them in a very slow closing vice! All proceeds to go to a charity of the winners choice.
  8. Only consolation in that it's worth more now then when it was stolen, Is the the owner still around to get his or her car back! Glad I don't hold my breath for the couple of vehicles we've had stolen.
  9. Hi, going back my MOTing days 20yrs ago 1550 to 1700kg hope this helps Colin
  10. Is there anyone on the forum or who knows anyone who can check the lsd and reset the ramps on an English axle lsd must be someone who has a very good reputation of building lsd's
  11. Oil pressure of 60 psi on a crossflow I would say is quite good. Depends on what spring has been fitted to relief valve determines oil pressure. The pump to have is high pressure high capacity. You can soon lift the pressure on a standard pump by fitting a washer between the pressed cup on face of pump and spring thus putting more pressure on relief spring hey presto more oil pressure
  12. Tickets sorted, Might have a go round the track!
  13. We spend all our tax payers money on cycles lanes yet they still don't use them! They are there for there safety. As a lorry driver you try getting round some of these overweight licra clad three abreast 20 in a convoy dickheads without upsetting a few, they think they have the right to take up all the road. I could go on for hours over experience with cyclists that it would give me RSI in my finger typing this type of letter so will leave it there. By the way BEWARE cyclists me and 44tonne truck ALWAYS WIN!!!!!!!!
  14. Any space left for a little one? Thanks Colin.
  15. Lovely paint job should be a stunning car when done keep us posted on the build
  16. I pay around your latter figure for my anglia where the only things left standard are the boot roof and bonnet through flux. So you must have got hold of a don't know don't care person unfortunately.
  17. Hi Craig89. WHAT THE HELL are you insuring to get quotes that high or have you been a naughty boy!!!! LOL
  18. Got mine with Adrian flux like khan lad says they seem to pretty clued up on the mods us daft people make to our cars, They were the most competitive I could find, and were willing to insure no probs
  19. Hi, unless you are doing competition with your escort don't see why standard cross member won't suffice. Good quality engine mounts should keep it in place. As for chassis mounting Why? Unless you are moving the engine back or forward. I think the time and money could be be put better use in other areas on the car, Just my thoughts Colin
  20. That was one quick wicked car shame it ended like that.
