  1. I have seen springs which lower the suspension, but none that raise it. I have also seen rubber spirals which fit around the coil diameter, but I imagine this would make the suspending even harder.
  2. It's a wildcat kit car and the sump sits 4"off the ground. Also, the suspension is very stiff, I wonder If a larger diameter spring would make it a tad less bumpy on the road.
  3. Hi can someone tell me if i can buy longer front shock absorbers for my 1980 cortina? i need to increase the ride height of the car at the front and probably higher rear springs as well Raymond
  4. Hi all, can someone tell me how to identify an unleaded 2.0 head. Also, is there a difference between 1.6 and a 2.0 head. Thanks in advance Raymond
  5. Just to clarify, my pinto cylinder head is warped, one of the valve seats are badly corroded and the valve stems have excessive wear. Given the fact that the engine is 40 years old, I was hoping to fit a more modern design engine without changing too much., or am I stuck in the 80's? Ps the car is fibre glass, so weighs not much more than an old mini, so the need for horse power is not that great. What is evolved is the zetec conversion mentioned?
  6. I have a 2.0 cortina based e type (jpr wildcat) I love it, however, it overheats within two miles of driving. I am considering fitting the most modern engine I can. Anyone know the most modern unit which would fit straight in without too much bother. I used to be a mechanic 25 years ago and still have access to workshop and tools etc. Any advice is much appreciated.
