  1. I am unsure. All it says in the manual is 'certain territories' I think. I thought it was just French ones as they had all sorts of daft regulations. But could be something that everything on the continent had. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  2. Dont need a hose pipe in this weather [emoji23] Its definitely that tail light. But can't tell wether it's passing between the seal and the body or passing the lense and going down the drain holes. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  3. Hi all. I've just fitted a new seal to the o/s but the well is still getting water in. The drains clear but I'd rather stop it getting in in the first place. What do people do to solve it? Does it normally pass behind the lense cause they bow slightly or is it where the seam between the 1/4 and rear panel is? Advice would be appreciated. Mike Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  4. 56a and 56b are the ones that need swapping. The single yellow wire and the white and blue/white wires. They are a bit fiddly to pop out of the plug being a round terminal but if use a small terminal screwdriver you can get them. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  5. Ahh okay. I've just got a french mk2. The dip and main were wired backwards onto the stalk. I popped them out of the plug and swapped them over. I'll get you a pic of the diagram. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  6. I'd say best bet is to rip out whatever wiring has been added first. Then test and find the fault and repair it properly. Is it a UK model? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  7. I'm wondering if anybody has ever bothered to decode build plates. There's a lad whose done it for fiestas and I've just used it (filling in a few gaps using the workshop manual) to decode mine on my mk2. See link... http://www.fiesta-mk1.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1700 I did try to database this a few years ago, is it worth adding escort and other model details to fill in the gaps? 8. Ahahh that's what I'm looking for. Thank you Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  9. I did think that, but they work perfectly just the wrong way round. I'll pull the cowling off anyway and see which wires are going where. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

  11. I'm assuming from looking at the back of the clocks that the multiplugs swap between standard and ghia clocks. Does anyone have a simple guide for re-pinning the plugs on a standard car to take rev counter clocks? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  12. This is a weird one. Just bought an imported French mk2. Problem I've got is the headlamp switch works backwards. Furthest away is dip, then main, then flash dip. The tell tale in the binnacle works with main as it should. Looking at the wiring diagram the feed for the tell tale is fed from the main beam connection on the back of the switch, therefore the issue can't be elsewhere in the wiring, it must be in the back of the switch. Has anyone come across this? And if anyone has have you just de-pinned the plug and swapped the terminals over? I'm assuming it's a multi plug on the back of the switchgear so can't be plugged in backwards. However it does show components and wiring for other territories, albeit France isn't listed, in which these wires are fed backwards. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
  13. It's Taxed and Tested until January/February and been used as a daily driver since I bought it, but off the road between November and March so as not to drive it in snow or let the salt get to it. If it has needed any work doing it has been done straight away, the most recent being Front Pads, Rear Wheel Bearings and Rear Wheel Cylinders. The bodywork is excellent, it had all the work done just before I got it and was fully resprayed in Strato Silver, It has had a pair of front wings, front panel repairs, rear arch/sill repairs and passenger floor and chassis leg repairs. It does have the odd mark and scratch in the paint and on the bumpers and there is slight bubbling on one of the sills, but nothing major. It had a new engine last year which was fully rebuilt with all new bearings, an exhaust valve, new camshaft with followers and spray bar, loads of machine work and unleaded seats in the head. The bottom end didn't need any work, the crank was polished and new big ends and main bearings fitted. It's also running a 32/36 DGV and has a Sportex 4 branch exhaust manifold and system. It was all run in properly and has done a good 15,000 miles since with no bother at all. The gearbox is a little noisy in 2nd and 3rd, but that hasn't got any worse over the two years of using it. The interior is in really good condition, it has all the original Dark Blue Carla Check, which hasn't suffered at all. The drivers door card is slightly damaged around the speaker and the dash is cracked on the top, as well as being cut to take a regular radio. The boot plastics too are typically a bit damaged. Other than those bits the carpet, seats, headlining and rest of the trim is all good. Wheels are Laser alloys with 185/70R13's on the back and 175/70R13's on the front all of which are pretty new and have plenty of tread. Modification wise there are just nice subtle mods that have been done. Back lights are red tinted and I have doubled up the brake lights to make sure they are visible, I've fitted a boot spoiler which makes it look a country mile better as well as already being dewipered. I've done a twin H4 conversion to the headlights which is all wired in properly through relays with twin side, dip and main beams, then with headlamp covers over the front. The front end has been lowered a bit, the back end was down further when I got it but I took the blocks out as it was too low. I've fitted a white dial kit in the dash with green LED bulbs so you can actually see them and it has bullet door mirrors. It also has camber adjustable top mounts up front and GAZ adjustable rear shockers. I'm looking for £2500 or near offer. Please call me on 07732142552
