Anyway, I think its commendable that you are offering the future of the forum to a vote, but you will never make everyone happy no matter what you do.

 

You may draw in new members by opening to new models, but its about the quality of members not quantity!

 

I have views just like everyone else, but as Posse said above the vote says it all, and I have a sneaky feeling that's what was hoped for

I would like to see new fords added only because i sold my mk2 escort four years ago in favour of a 2wd Sapphire cosworth which i own at present, i owned a total of 2 mk2 escorts over 17 years but 80's Fords are now well over 20 years old now so im in favour of the change

I posted yesterday morning saying that other cars should be allowed... I was thinking about this last night and to be honest I've changed my opinion a bit.

The reason I joined in the first place was because I saw you guys at santa pod and had a look round a few of the cars... I thought I will have a bit of that. So I joined mainly to perv on your motors in the sense that you come on this site and you know what your getting.... All in all it should remain the same but the forum should arrange things with other rival forums i.e. Shootouts to bring in extra income (if that is whats needed)

I DON'T THINK THERE IS MUCH OF A CLUE IN THE NAME OF THE FORUM,

"OLD SKOOL" TO ME CONJURES UP IMAGES OF THE 80S. MAYBE THAT'S JUST MY GENERATION.

THERE IS A FORUM CALLED BACK TO THE OLD SKOOL FOR EXAMPLE

"88 TO 98 OLD SKOOL STYLE BREAKBEAT, JUNGLE, DRUMAND BASS, HARDCORE AND RAVE"

AS THEY PUT IT.

I'M ACTUALLY QUITE SUPPRISED AT THE RESULTS OF THE POLL, UPTO POSTING THIS 46% OF PEOPLE HAVE VOTED TO CATER FOR MK2 FIESTAS.

THAT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I THOUGHT THAT 70-80% WOULD VOTE TO KEEP THINGS AS THEY ARE.

I like OSF meaning what it does but it does cause one concern that I feel shuld be aired, I've noticed this due to re-buillding a Capri and my brother trying to get an OSF, with pricing for everything old (and yes cooler)shooting up eventually OSF will be out of reach for alot of people unless they already have one. Especially younger people.

 

Anyway just a side note really.

The way I see it theres only a few votes in it. A vote for anything other than leave it how it is- is a vote for change.

 

The poll isn't exactly fair... Its like saying do you prefer cereal for breakfast or toast with butter or toast with jam or toast with marmalade? Obviously the votes for toast would be split depending on how people like their toast... But really they are all voting for the same breakfast.

The poll is not ended until the boss says it's ended. So far it looks as though the votes are leaning heavily towards staying as we are at the moment.
