irishtorag Posted March 16, 2014 Report Share Posted March 16, 2014 yes strut tubes are thinner and you need to get a spacer machined for top and bottom before welding as gap to much in tubes to bridge and tubes wouldn't be square. On the other hand you can get new inserts from a few makers for standard struts and then gently cut of cup and lower and reweld . 1.25 inches is just perfect forgot to say DONT use a grinder to cut cups of gently use a hack saw as metal isn't thick and you can damage strut tubes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
