Well What did everyone think,

For the first one i thought it was a good show it may not be for the hard core Old skool forders as the plastic out numbered the older cars but the old skool motors seamed to have the bigger crowds and the faster cars up the strip, so for me i thought it was a definite win for the old skool fords.

It was good to let the OSFDC set up a mini pit in the middle of the show it always seamed to be swamped with people.

I didnt see much going on in the Auto test area so not sure how well that worked out i think they should set it up as a burn out area/competition next time, I saw the cortina doing a rolling burn out all the way round the course thats what i want to see more off.

For me i got a new PB of 12.65 and a dose of Pod face so a good end to the season roll on next year.

I also want to say thanks to Joe and the crew to arranging these events through out the year and making sure everyone Ok, and also letting me use your boot ;).

We thought it was a great show, and agreed Jamie there was so much more interest in the old cars.

I was a bit sceptical about the parking at first, but it worked out fine parked up amongst the cars taking part in the OSF drag series, and it was great to meet and chat to a few of you.

Massive Thanks to Joe and the organizers, and also thank you to Mr and Mrs SmokeEm for the hotel advice.

Looking forward to next year.

Steve and Sharon.

Liked it, good to catch up with a few off here, as you said think the older stuff mostly out run newer stuff up the strip, also came home with a red face! Why is that? There were quite a few trade stands catering for old and new, again as you said newer cars out numbered older ones, but you have to face facts that there just are more newer ones around than older ones! I think that for its first year it did well, if its on next year i would go, and would say to others that think theres too much plastic, bring your proper car, lets even the numbers up!

Good show, good weather, great people. Was a bit sceptical how my presence would be received after all the crap I've put on here regarding escort owners.but all turned out good ,I even brought an escort owner with car with me to soften the blow.It was his first time out with the escort and his first show- he was impressed. As I said to peteRS8084 having appeared in two magazines and as the saying goes everything happens in threes, fully expected a gun magazine with a bullit with my name on it to be fired with my reference to escort owners,But all went well.At least now I know who I'm chucking the crap at and not just a name on here! There is so much to see and do would it not justify a two day meet ?so you can get to know the other members better and spend more time looking around the cars, just a thought. Thanks to everyone concerned for another great day with the OSF lot. Cheers Colin

I apparently look like 'Some old lush drunk' as on top of standard Podface, my nose is not unlike Rudolphs!

Good to meet up with like minded people and chat. Steve & Sharon.. your car surely has the wrong plate?

Colin - Nutter! Careful where that frog puts his hands!

Big thanks to Jo & Ali for the organisation and for my Coffee's :ykt:

Well, what can I say ..... despite a few NON OSF'ers who planted themselves, their trailers and their cars on our stand and refused to move on Sunday I did manage to park everyone up and, actually, I think it worked ok with the static cars mingled with the OSFDC cars :)    Thank you sooooo much for being patient while I got you parked up and it was good to meet you all.      Absolute big up to Smoke em and Mrs Smoke em who manned the merchandise all day - hardcore !!!!

Well done to all the OSFDC racers who have continued to support us all year and this was our grand finale and I think we put on a good show on the strip :)

Thanks again to all of you who supported the club stand and I really hope you had a good day!       Deffo one for the diary next year methinks ;)

I had no time at all to take pictures but I do hope those of you who did will post them onto this thread (or in the events section on here).

Oh, and one final BIG thank you to Oddball (Ali) who brought me tea and bacon sandwiches (even cut up into little bitesize squares) as I stood like a pleb (slightly hungover as well) in the middle of the entry lane to guide the cars in lol ..

Glad you all liked being with us OSFDC racers. we were a bit worried that we were in the way. there was more of us up the far end of the strip as we wanted to make sure people could get on the stand. perhaps next year we need two club stand areas next to each other, one show n shine and the other OSFDC as we do take alot of space :)

was good to meet a few new faces - smokeEm, at last we met albeit briefly in the rush at the start.

there will be a show next year as the media team were doing a shoot for next years show advert at the end of the day.

bring on the plastic wooping........

Some nice photos around, cool to see I made it onto the official ones, wasn't expecting to considering how cheap and tatty mine is among all the fancy expensive stuff!

Pod organisation was piss poor as usual but thanks to the OSF organisers/etc (met others but no OSF people!) for making the best out of it and also for letting me bring my Escort on the stand for a while! All in all it was a good show and worth coming down, I was going to have a run on the dyno for a laugh but ended up leaving early haha.

The lads on the STowners group are wondering what engine was in this Escort?

http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/topic/405146-14-mile-run-ford-fest/

I'm on my phone so can't see clearly but it looks like Baz's 2.1 Pinto with a bit of nitrous for good measure.  8)  :ykt:

Indeed it is, just a humble 8 valve 2.1 Pinto .............with Nitrous   :nitrous:  :nitrous: ..................though what will make as much difference as the shot of Nitrous is the weight reduction and gearing.

A modern daily driver will rarely keep pace with a car set up for 1/4 mile sprints. I remember a wealthy guy in a Bentley Continental GT looking very hard done by when he was severely trounced by KJ's Mk1 Escort in about 2006
