Kent FR30 Sports Torque V's Kent FR32 Fast Road Cam Kit (2.0 Pinto)

Recommended Posts

I’ve got the 2-6 first in the anglebox with a 3-5 diff, certainly good over original. My quaife box had a 2.03 first which is nice and long but not to good with full race cams. It’s hard work trying to keep on song, I’d like to try it with a normal engine one day along with a normal clutch. It may be a good thing or to long for town which may involve to much clutch slipping to keep going.

Those that have gotten the raised first gear was it for a Type 9 box?

I'm running a 3:54 diff and the old ratio was literally pull off and change immediately. I think if you had a lower ratio diff, the short first would very annoying. For the work involved and my box was out anyway, I'd do it again.

Yep - same as me, 3.54 diff. I had the T9 overhauled so made sense to uprate the bearings and the tall 1st.

Its weird and must be an age thing but the loooooow 1st never bothered me in 1982 with my first RS!
