borneo
and how many ladies clean the crap out of the inside of the arches? Don't get me started on drive through automatic car washes. When the clio I bought for my girlfreind nearly caught fire and it turned out there was no water in it I said "I thought you were keeping an eye on the coolant level?" She promptly opened the windscreen washer bottle and said "it's full look!" To be fair my mate Little Tom has done this one. He is a bit of a girl sometimes. Slik 50
We bought a car for the wife about 3 years ago. It was a 306 DTurbo, sat on its ass everything colour coded metalic burgundy and a brand new set of 17's. The car was pristene and very well looked after. Within 2 weeks every wheel was tw*ted and a big crease down the rear quarter Another women I knew was driving around for months with no oil in her car. The engine seezed and when her dad went mental at her for not checking the oil she mentioned that she thought the red light was ment to be on all the time
Gareth
It is nice to say "1 owner" , but a car with sod all miles on it normally means it's not gonna get thru the next MoT. Probably need those perished C.V boots changing along with the HT leads and all that stal petrol draining outtsa the tank. I prefer to buy a car thats got mileage that ties in with its age... For example: My old XR4i, 157k (high I know) reliable as anything, my Capri, 122k Again reliable. Some thing that's 30 odd years old and has done 10k will have loads of niggly problems, that for a car 'that good' & at 'that price' shouldn't have IMO I believe cars should be driven, not left in a garage.
