Still looking at the alloy replacements as an alternative, which if they were made could be polished or painted black. A quick read on the net, if a mould could be made using the 3D method and use re- cycled plastic bottles to make them! Its now reached the frustration factor where you get so determined to get them that I would pay over an above for a higher quality pair in alloy. Im going to try for the pair in the auction, best not to let them slip by if we cant get hold of RH ones. I hope im not overbidding anyone here. Funny you should mention that, I was racking my brains who'd done some 3D printing on plastic car parts. Weren't they cossy side skirt mounts or along those lines ? For me I would have to pay an extra five pounds postage and then VAT on top of the price and the postage as well and a currency exchange fee on all of it! I dont think we need to go to he extent of getting a home 3D printer. (I dont think the amateur ones can replicate as fine and smooth as would be needed) But surely if the group bands together you could get a batch made through an industrial company at a substantially lower price than those sold for. I just saw a wheel dealer episode where he had some Capri sunroof parts made that were way more complex and needed a captive nut and everything so these things should be easy as.
