DT36 Posted December 2, 2018 Report Share Posted December 2, 2018 Wide awake as motion sensor has woken us up earlier. Nothing suspicious though, but after checking cameras I can't drop back off now. On a plus side, these have popped up on the Book earlier and this lad has lots of bits for sale, with a lot more listed underneath. The aftermarket stuff that you get from Motorsport Tools in length in Chrome or Black will work for you till you find an original. Its not good a quality as the originals but no longer will you find a decent chrome Ford one as they discolour even new in a box. The substitutes dont work with 4 doors as its not flexible enough to go round the C pillar bend on a 4 door. Its relatively cheap too so worth it in that respect. Finding decent gutter trim has been a crusade of mine for a few years now without success. I thought of plastic chroming some originals to make them look chrome silver again but the vats they do it on are a maximum of one metre in length so they don't fit. I have thought of using expensive chrome replica paints but I'm not convinced of its durability on such a narrow surface. I have also approached metal fabricators to replicate in metal but so far been refused. So the plastic replica stuff is my only option at this point.
