Someone here locally bought some from Aldridge once but it didn't quite match the original stuff so I suspect there were subtle variations in the pattern of the material used through the years. Given they don't offer rear covers they would have to offer the material separately so people can get their rear seats to match the covers they sell.

They also do a rear seat cover set to match, but between the front and rear would set me back around £600 ish, before even starting the work.

Paid just over £100 yesterday with them for bolsters and have to say the guy on the phone was very patient and helpful when I told him my plan on converting Capri seats.

I have 2 options on the headreasts, but I think I'm leaning towards the padded top. Trimmer says he can shape this to match a Scheel headreast.

Got to drop my rear seats to him this week to get the pattern and width of stitching matched.

I'm aiming for a similar look of the black seat in the pics below. Granted, it won't be exactly the same but he's confident on getting close to it.

Last time I checked they didn't have rear seat covers so that's pretty goodif they do now. Although at a guess it wont be of benefit to me as I bet they arent for 4 door RS2000 rear seats lol.

Those Capri headrests stick out a bit to much it makes them look funny or is the padding at the top of the original seat just thicker that it matches the thickness of the headrest so they don't appear to stick out as much? If they can match those in that last shot then it would work quite well.

Yes, they are a bit thicker, but he says he'll re-shape them. If they don't look right, Aldridge do have them in stock as well.

Actually, if I can catch them early enough Monday morning I might just get a pair before they dispatch my order.

Are the headrests off my cossy seats any good to you Dale? There is a pic in previous post

Cheers Col, but they look the wrong shape.

Rolltop headreasts are only £38 at Aldridge, so not really worth messing about with others.

Did those Fishnet headrests fit your Cossie seats OK, or you still not tried them?

Seats in progress and rear firewall and floor now sound proofed with Dodo mats under existing sound proof.  Fingers crossed they come out as I'm hoping 🤞

What's peoples thoughts on getting the rear shelf recovered in the same vinyl as the seat backs to cover up the old speaker holes?  This could be spray glued and trimmed. Alternatively, GS Escorts do a complete new rear shelf.

Bit of an update.

Just collected my old seats from the Trimmers and he's done a nice job of them in fairness to him. Very helpful family run business. He now wants my rear shelf and gearstick gator, so he can cover the shelf the same as the seat backs and do the gator the same as the Alcantara centres. FOR FREE 😁

Couldn't get a roll of Betacloth from Aldridge, so opted for the Alcantara instead. Although it's not original, I think it works really well with the seat and is possibly nicer.

Side bolsters aren't as deep as Scheel seats, but considering these were Capri Lasers to start off, they've come out not too bad.

I now have two choices of headreasts to fit as I have a pair of each. However, I'm strongly leaning towards the rolltop.

Might not be everyone's cup of tea and will certainly upset the purists, but they can go forth and multiply... 😀

Compared to the pics when they were grey, a few posts above, I think you'll agree that they're now a tad nicer.

Looks nice. Im guessing by those images that your doing a side by side comparison of the headrests? Which one are you going to go with?

Yes, was seeing which I prefer. I think rolltop is catching my eye more.

Oh cool. Im glad I don't have to decide, I couldn't make up my mind which I preferred actually they both look good equally! But Rolltops are probably right in that fishnets seem to age and weather more in time than Rolltops. Better still just keep them both and change them with your mood or occasion!

Best to stick to cars, I have never been able to look at you the same way since your Rocky Horror themed party last year. 😬

Haha, now I've almost fitted the seats I'm thinking Fishnets 😂

Happy with the look of the overall seat though when fitted and it's definitely more comfortable than the buckets, which were very low compared to these.

One more seat to fit now and then have a look on eBay for a tilt Adjuster wheel.

Love the rear seat, choice of centre fabric looks classy. My personal choice would have to have the vinyl across the top just below the headrest as normal. Did the trimmer not ask if you wanted the Recaro emblem putting back in? Mine was £25 for the two fronts. Must admit they do look more of a comfy seat now though.

All done now.

Trimmer didn't ask about  a logo, but I think I would have left them plain.

Currently going with the round headreasts at the moment, as I have to still change the net in my other Fishnet. Net is all stitched ready, just got to open up the base to fit it.

Car looks much cleaner and tidy now with these.

Do you have the RS seat brackets or have you adapted the std seat runners / mounts to fit? I have same seats as you and initially fitted them without but found a pair of adaptors on Ebay - totally transformed the seat position - base is higher and more tilted, feels more comfortable.
