Rally Pack 2000
Some may remember a joke photo I posted last year displaying my Twincam Engines environmental credentials with my three turtles snuggled up to it. The three turtles were given to me as a gift by my sister 15 years ago. A few years back I had a suspicion that they were all female so I took them to a vet who specialises in reptiles. He said yep all girls. Today when I went down to the pond to feed them this afternoon, I found this ......... TurtleVid.mp4 So either the Twincam is miraculous or I have a ringer?
Vista
Or a stow away has been sneaking in to your pond at night to have his wicked way. There's a quip about Turtles Heads in there somewhere..........................it's just waiting to come out

The can climb fences though and you sometimes see their bodies half way up electric cattle fences. I was expecting at least one turtle joke but not that one! Rally Pack 2000
Scoured the pond at least five times yesterday to be sure there were no stragglers, checked tonight for no real reason and found baby number 3. They are popping out of nowhere now! 1

Rally Pack 2000
Im now almost 300 Bucks down, for a tank, and the special pellet food they most likely wont eat and the live crickets and the special calcium grit sand and then the hugely expensive special reptile UVa+b lamp that is needed to prevent soft shell. I haven't even bought the floating island and the filtration system yet! This is a bigger rort than the RS tax! You put the word reptile in front of something and its a tenfold increase in price. What is it with words that start with the letter "R"? Oh bombshell drop by the reptile expert after buying all this crap he informs me that he has never had any luck raring eastern long neck turtle hatchlings they always die and I was brave for a first timer taking the job on!! Thanks for that pearl of wisdom after I spent all that money. Apparently now that they are of breeding age this will happen every year even twice a year for the next thirty years!! The original ones already snap at the dog if she sticks her nose close to look at them and has falling in the drink a few times. A Chihuahua with a school of hungry piranhas. I now have one lot that will eat anything including fingers and the dog and another lot that are so fussy you have to spend hundreds to find that one thing they will eat! To think people keep more exotic snakes and lizards and things, its costs more than owning OSFs and both come back to bite you for your troubles. katana
Well you could always bag the lot of them up, drive down the nearest clay skeet ground and have 10 minutes of fun, chucking the 'pies' skyward !

Thats mean ........ but tempting.......unfortunately protected species I would end up on Youtube for sure. We have had animal rights vegans blocking the roads just this week. They are scary! 20 hours ago, Vista said: Time to find the boy and off with his nads! Hmmmmmm a valid solution I wonder if you can get turtles desexed like you can a cat? What gets me is what has he been doing the past 15 years?

Possibly better than being introduced to the historical method: a sack, a brick, and a dark and dirty canal.😱

Turtles would love dark dirty canals though. Im sure if it was warmer there your canals would be full of the critters.

Turtle soup is still a delicacy in some countries though.

Many years ago our kid once forgot to take a huge family sized pork pie out of the freezer, Ma carved it with an electric bread knife and served us up a large slice of frozen pie and salad (whatever that is,....) each as a punishment, thinking we would leave it until later. Nope, we stabbed it with our forks and gnawed it like spaniels on a bone, left the green stuff though. Apparently there are other type of pork lolly, but being a gentleman etc.😱
