Few random pics from the Dunton show. Was a great show, just wish they could get people in more effectively, but hey ho....

Why didn’t you stop me as I was reversing into the spot next to the black mk1? I looked for you around your Capri but you wasn’t there

notenoughtime - I actually did look at your car but as your wheels now have the black inserts I wasn't sure if you or not, otherwise I would have said hello.

The Ron Harris red mk1 Tina, speaking to a friend of mine, find out it is his cousins car and he lives 800 yrds from me. I have lived there 16 years and him a lot longer.

Funny what people have tucked away and you just don't know.

Was a real nice day, got my Steve Saxty books and just chilled, wandered, and chilled some more. weather was awesome considering September now, all in all a very nice day.

That’s how the wheels came on the car and I haven’t had them done, trying to leave some bits for the new owner to do lol

Don't suppose anyone took some engine bay photos of the Mk1 RS2000 pictured above? It appears to have twin downdrafts with a unique air filter assembly. I have only ever seen the rare and expensive Mk2 RS ones but this seems like a neat installation would fool people into thinking its factory.

Looks like one of those 'factory fitted' Group 1 air cleaners that sell / come up for sale at outrageous prices - last one I saw was about £1800!

I don't suppose this will help at all as it's not the same car. But KGF currently have this mk1 listed with what appears to be the exact same setup. "Weber 44IDF carburettors and RS special oval air box".

Have you finished the books yet, what did you think?

Hello Steve. Once home the Mrs nicked them and put them away for my girls to give me as Xmas gifts, so sorry, being the good dad I am, I have not even had a peek yet. Sure they'll be great, but i will definitely let you know......

An act of kindness or cruelness?! I hope you like them, eventually.
