I'd love to have colourful birds like that in my Garden instead of giant white/grey squawking shitehawks swooping down and clearing all the bread on the bird table!

My previous next door neighbour used to chuck out slices of bread in his garden. I was throwing small bits into the hedge at the bottom of mine, and he was a townie, I had blue tits in my garden and he had an enraged tit chasing crows in his.

Come up to Surrey and SW London with a big net and you can catch as many as you'd like - they'll soon piss you off though!

The Rainbow Lorikeets are considered a pest as they are more a native to Queensland but sort of adapted and taken over here. They come in the mornings usually while the Gallah's coming on dusk. They often prefer the lawn to the feeder.

Our state bird is the Eastern Rosella and we get them in the trees in the reserve behind my house but they haven't come down to the feeder in my yard yet. I can hear them twitter often but I think are intimidated by the high traffic of the feeder by all the bigger birds.

The biggest birds we get are the Ibis who hang around the pond and try to eat my turtles. When they had babies that time I had to rare them in a tank as they would have been bite sized treats otherwise.

Pigeons still are still the biggest pest when they swarm though.  Only when the Carellas move in do they clear off but the noise so deafening that you cant hear the TV.

I will buy British from now on and F@@@ the Chinese.follow trump and move on

We have only one medical mask manufacturer in Australia and they only make 5% of the market with the bulk coming from China and actually Wuhan. The government approached them to step up production and they said they only have 2 employees that are qualified to operate the machines. So they loaned the company some military personnel so they could get a third machine out of moth balls. The government asked if they could do more but the company said you allowed the industry to die in favour of cheap Chinese imports and this situation is squarely on them. He said its not just enough to come knock on the door in an emergency that they needed to ensure local supply even when the emergency is long since over. He also added that there needs to be more than one company not just his in case one establishment fails. Will the Government listen? No it will be back to sucking up to the Chinese as soon as this is over. The fact that they refuse to call it the Wuhan Virus means they are already covering for a country that has brought the world to its knees. Im still wondering if ultimately all this needed stimulus would have cost less if they had just prevented the Cheap Chinese crap takeover in the first place and supported local business.

Whatever each of our beliefs on the source of this virus are, it's clear it's going to be around for a long time and have a very profound effect on all of our lives. Hug your loved ones folks and if you've ongoing family disputes, put them behind you whilst you still can.

Thats Austrian Dr Helmut Marko of Red Bull wanting to take all their healthy drivers in the Red Bull program off to a camp and then infect them with Coronavorus to share the experience together since F1 is taking take a break at the moment.

So what’s peeps getting up to with all this time on their hands ? Who’s working and who’s staying home ?

I work from home a lot of the time anyway so am used to it. All my work travelling has been curtailed though.

At the weekends I have been busying myself (and press-ganged conscripts, aka wife and kids) with scraping the moss and earth out of the joints on the block paving and then scrubbing the area clean. 4 years we've lived here and I'd always thought the bricks were light grey. Turns out they're a beige / sandy colour.

Still in work but only tidying the yard/garage. Truck been parked up since last Tues aft. Looks like they're waiting for Boris to shut construction down instead of making the decision themselves....90% of our sites are closed nationwide so a bit pointless really....not exactly essential!!

I'm currently working from home and got plenty to get on with.

Wife has moved in with our daughter for now, as she's had a newborn last week. I've not had chance to hold her yet, as I had to go into work last Thursday to test some radio comms on a new piece of kit and was working with 3 others.

Self isolating now, so I can have a clear run to go visit them.

Been doing some bits on the car in the garage and also set my pushbike up on my turbo trainer to get myself moving a bit more during this time.
