Still here, slipped a disc 9 days ago, but the pain tells me I'm still alive.🥴 (I'm getting too old to be carrying type 2 gear boxes about).

Dont go doing yourself an injury, you will be worse off having to go to hospitals at the moment. If yours are anything like ours your more likely to catch the virus in the waiting room than you are socialising.

It's improving here but life isn't back to normal. By contrast I have been in France all week and in the city I was in, but for the odd mask here and there, you'd think it never happened.

We were easing back with everything opening and things getting back to normal but we have had a second wave so the lockdowns came back into force again.

We had our first drive out to an outdoor pub/beer garden yesterday in Llangynidr for the first time in 4 months. Was a welcome change back to a bit of normality. Social distancing and service was spot on.

Car is not self centering it's steering as sharp as before I fitted the power steering, so need to look at this a bit deeper.

Also cleared up a bit of space in the garage over the weekend and fitted a decent wall mounted bike rack.

General question to all - Just wondering are you getting more done on your car projects or less due to the Wuhan Wally Virus? I have been getting much less done as my focus seems to be on other things.

Life, pretty much normal as! If more done, means i've finished it - then yes, that box is ticked. But still stuff to do before it can be 'driven' properly.

I hear your lockdown is about to get serious again. Be sure to check in so we know everyone is ok even if its to chat about the weather. Has anyone heard from Marcel @anglia58 lately? I haven't heard from him since before the dogs thingy hit the fan and was getting a bit worried? I will have to pop a letter in the post if no one has heard from him.

Less, because I usually spend time in the garage when my Missus goes out with her Mother and my Daughter.

However, I did make a new handle for the inside of my shed door yesterday :-)

Is it an Imperial spanner or Metric !!??, just thinking, if you have Imperial hands and the handle is Metric, might cause a bit of a rash !!??.

It was all just yet another French plot to undermine the British!

And they still managed to f**k that up as well!

I know i'm 6'3" tall and weigh 15 stone 7lbs. My car weighs about 920kg but I put 30psi pressure in the tyres and it uses 12mm spark plugs that are gapped 24 thou. but 0.6mm also works. I know what 30 deg. C feels like but prefer to holiday in the mid to high 90's F. On a building site I often asked a carpenter to use a 2.4m length of 2x4" and he wouldn't say eh?

Yes. I could convert all the imperial measurements to metric but that forces other people to convert them back to know what i'm talking about - I don't include young people - they don't understand spoken words any more only text! LOL. Its the Americans I feel sorry for - they never managed to understand proper Imperial and just guesstimated everything till it became 'normal' then gave it the same name - cos they have no imagination!

Sounds like the mix and match of a second Norman conquest!

The forum seems a bit quiet at the moment I think everyone has had enough, where I live it seems just as busy with people out in the parks than normal, in the eve there are kids about but no one else, it seems that because they can go to school or college etc they can do what they want, but the adults can’t go anywhere as it’s all shut! Madness

I have a half started garage that 2 lockdowns have delayed due to my builder and inspector living in a different county to me. Been constant stop start through no fault of his own.

Now our firebreak lockdown is lifted, its constantly chucking it down to prep and get the slab in.

I think this is basically going to come to a dead stop now until around next March.
