I'm back - Weird few days!

Not been around for a few days as things got a bit surreal Thursday night / Friday morning . . . . . . . . . I had (what the hospital described as) a massive heart attack! I've experienced chest pains before but this one was accompanied with the left arm pain / pins & needles in left hand and was f**king fairly intense - rang 999 and paramedics soon diagnosed via ECG, yep your having a HA! Straight to hospital and into operating theater - angiogram and two stents fitted, neither of which I recommend! I'm only home due to crushing boredom and doctor ineptitude who seemed to take great delight in investigating any potential malody. So now i'm also apparently Type 2 Diabetic and with apparently stupid levels of Cholesterol - so shed loads of drugs - forever!

So kiddies - if you have chest pain, even if it comes and goes - get it checked out ! ! !

Glad all is OK now. Take it easy fella and listen to the Doctors.

I'm in Aldershot now and all week (TDU). Was going to give you a shout to see if you was under the car or had some Hobnobs on the go. Think we'd best give them a miss though, considering.

I think as we get older, we all need to take notice of our health and how we let certain things creep up on us. I've definitely noticed that I've been creeping the pounds on and I'm more out of breath much more easily. Started back cycling a bit more often now along with walking more to adjust my lifestyle.

On a more positive note, nows the time to get one of the family to phone Car SOS... Just pretend you had no idea. 😁

As said you guys need to pay attention to this, most of us are the age where we think we can still do everything but we need to accept we cant, I was in the same position 2 yrs ago but mine all went wrong and changed my life completely, get off the fags and cut out the bacon chaps!!!

All the best for a speedy recovery bud xx

Get well soon pal, it need not be a complete life changer, but it is a warning shot across your bow, to change some things in your life, things in moderation and all that, but sincerely hope your on the mend, I like a nice onion salad I do !!!!!????, with 20 rounds of bread and real butter, and full cream milk made rice pudding.

Take it easy lad.

Sounds awful.

Take it easy. Its all fruit and veg from here on in.

Apparently fruit (which I do love) cannot be exclusively be used as your 5 a day - bummer! I suppose curried / grilled vegetables would be ok!

Well i'm around all week with nowt to do - may not have Hobnobs but sure I can rustle up something suitable LOL! I do have a new TPS to fit - was going to do it last Friday before it all when 'pete tong' so may do it this just to keep me active.

Car SOS - there's a plan, unfortunately they prefer wreaks not things that are just about finished LOL!

Glad to hear your on the mend, as said we all think we can just carry on as we get older! I’ve definitely put a few pounds on since lockdown and I’ve worked all the way through! Not sure how that happened

Im off to the kitchen for a beer and packet of crisps 😂

Over the doctors mouth when he says to stop eating bacon and have tofu burgers instead! 😀

Dually noted! Weird thing is 1st breakfast in hospital after the attack they served grilled bacon ( 2 slices!) and baked beans - I thought i'd died and gone to heaven LOL!

I've had a heart attack, i'm not morphing into some sort of lettuce munching snail! Nowt wrong with iced water (got to flush the excess sugar out) generated by the beer and crisps!

I can't and don't want to live forever, just long enough to do what I want to do please - not fatalistic, more realistic.

Good to hear you are on the road to recovery! I'm getting on in years (73) I think youve' got to get things fixed as they happen, Ive had 4 new hip joints (to one side) a left knee, glaucoma fixed, cataracts fixed, on blood pressure and colostrol tabs, and waiting for a new right knee, but still working walking and driving - a bit like an old Ford, keep fitting the spares and keep going! :beer:beer helps a lot!
