Does anyone remember who sold these rear MK1 shelf covers? advertised as a "flexible material", Pics still showing on Google Images but cant find the seller anywhere.

Look familiar?

Image text is:

"£57.00 GBP*·Brand: not specified - Mk1 Escort Parcel Shelf. New mk1 escort shelves made from a flexible material very close to the original"

HI mate

Yep I've seen the nice Repro ones available, this just just a thought for a bit of an experiment, and as they were cheap it wouldn't matter if it didn't work.

Cheers tho👍

I'm currently doing a small van out for my bikes and am using 4 way stretch carpet in the rear.

I know this is not original and a purist would shit his nappy, but this stuff would look really clean and nice on the inner wheel wells/arches and back shelf. If you have a rotter of a back shelf as an experiment , I might have some black left over in about 2 weeks.

I'm thinking about putting the original rear door cards back in, currently there are MDF rear door cards housing 6x9 speakers, but I was never happy with the finish, especially with the rear cage. plus you cant hear them with the 40's on full chat 😈

My back shelf is pukka, so I don't want to cut it, so thought about some kind of alternative shelf cover solution that I could cut about and not worry about wrecking original parts. These seemed a cheap option to cut about

You'll have to whack up some pics of the stuff once you have finished it, sounds like good gear 👌

I bought one of those flexible ones for my mk2, it’s ok but think I’d rather spend the extra on a better one

Do you remember where you bought it mate? And what did it look like?

I'm gonna be hacking holes in it.
