Went for a run out today to Castle Combe in a mates Focus RS. 450bhp of modest family daily or absolute bonkers grinning machine. What a car.

Anyway, some cracking cars on track and display today, but the show stopper for me was a stunning white Gartrac Escort. Stunning quality build:

Found a a little Gem of a breakfast meet on Friday so popped along Sunday morning, local and a nice little run out.

Earlswood Lakes near Redhill in Surrey - 10 mins from Gatwick

Didn't snap all the cars, but there were some tasty motors there

Some choice cars there! Love the Hot Rod Anglebox and RS2000, and a Chevette Saloon - how rare is one of them! But I don't like the outright fakery of the 'Cooper S' - nice car but so un-necessary! Also you seem to have found the Anglebox owners club hangout LOL!

I took about 40 pics and that wasn't all of them so 60 odd cars in total so not a bad Sunday morning drooling over old metal

Yes a nice mix, glad I found this one, there were some mad Hot Rod rat look beasts, this one always had a crowd round it, it was running a X-Flow with a Supercharger! mad as a box of frogs. should have got an engine shot..... plonker!

In quarantine BUT I am allowed one place and one place only as long as I take the direct route. To get a half way progress report Im allowed to go to a drive through testing station. I so really really wanted to snap a photo in the queue for you but there was no one else there so drove straight in and had me filling out forms and shoved a stick up my nose before I could snap a photo of their tent so I just snapped one on the way back to show I went in RP2000! (no outside shots possible im in a car bubble) Car went well but didn't start the best from sitting idle so long. But I got out in it!!!

Got to be the best old school smell of all time. 😁

The ST and the van do get a bit of 2 stroke mixed in with the Derv to help lubricate the pump and injectors since they've lowered the sulphur content of UK diesel.

It definitely counts! Didn't know you had that, you have been holding out on us!?

Im a bit of a hoarder on the quiet 🤭 I currently have 9 classics. 4 American cars (all Ford), 4 VWs and the Aussie MK1, which I recently swapped to get with a mate for with another VW that I had 👍

I need to thin them out a bit lol. The Torino above is for sale at the moment, very rare car, one of 395 Type N/Ws built!

Im intrigued? Does that make much difference then? Mixing I mean. Not the reduced sulphur?

Yes, on an older car, you get more lubrication on your pumps and injectors, with a more complete burn. Engine also runs quieter.

Sulphur content got reduced in UK fuel for emissions regs, which saw some manufacturers seeing earlier failure of component parts.

I was initially told this by a guy taking us for a 2 day course on oil and lubricants for Volvo Truck and Bus.

2 stroke has to be API-TC-JASO-FB.

I put about 250ml into a full tank. Granted not all the time, but I notice the difference if I don't put it in. Some people report better mpg, but I've never tested this myself.

Ive escaped! But wouldn't you know it my first trip out after imprisonment I get pulled into a lineup by the cops to ensure I was leaving the house for legitimate reasons under lock-down. Of course none of the gaggle of Toyota Corolla's in front of me got asked to pull over, no bias there at all! Still made it away though! 😀

Yes we are although we are coming out of it before them as their cases are escalating again.

We have been operating under police state conditions which are over an above justified by the public heath act. This week however to the relief of us all here in NSW our Premier resigned under a cloud of corruption. Not because she was committing human rights violations by placing more restrictions on Labor controlled seats while those marginal electorates that the conservatives stood to loose she gave them less restrictions so as not to loose those seats at the next election. Instead she was caught by the corruption commissions phone taps telling her corrupt developer boyfriend (and also former Conservative MP of her party) that when he was trying to tell her about one of his shady land deals she kept saying on the taps "I dont want to hear it, I dont want to hear it!" then claimed to the Corruption commission she new nothing of his dodgy deals yet how did she then know to tell him she didn't want to hear it in case it was being recorded? We subsequently thought that anyone like her who preached China Virus restrictions we could just switch off the telly to her harpee lectures and say "we dont want to hear it" and that absolved us of being held accountable. It was certainly her defense!

Politicians are the same world wide. They are all like pigs in a trough, handing out shady contracts to friends & family!
