Seat Runners

Recommended Posts

I have a South African Escort MK2 with cortina xr6 seat in that don't fit right, I have bought some fiesta RS turbo seats to replace them but they haven't got seat runners, has anyone got any thoughts on which runners will be best to replace them as I don't want the new seats touching the doors like these do

I once had Leather Sapphire Cosworh seats in my old MK2 Harrier (ducks for cover), had to hand make the runners using angle iron and the original runners, didn't look great but they worked, blimey just realised that was probably 20+ years ago! šŸ˜³

Probably ditch the XR6 runners, All about the floor mounting points to begin with. unless you are going to start drilling, cutting and making brackets

Try to grab some MK2 Escort seat runners, make sure they bolt into the floor and seat rails soundly, and then fabricate some cross sections to secure the XR6 or RS Turbo seats to them.

What do the XR6 seats look like out of curiosity?

it doesĀ look like the seat runnersĀ have been moved out from there original position, as they are very close to the door ?
