Rally Pack 2000
I turned down a Twincam for 700 quid once that was complete and road registered except it had a regular 1600 Kent engine replacing its Lotus engine. I figured it was worthless without that but now seeing the 1100L rusty shells people restore these days boy was that a wrong call. Getting a replacement Twincam engine would be the easy part to getting the rest of of a genuine car.

DT36
Jumping forward 20 years is a magazine from 93 with the prices of some second hand cars inside. I think I had either a XR3i or a Nova SR when I bought this magazine and had just sold my RS2000, as the missus had spun it twice and was carrying our daughter then. I also had an MOT failure 1300 MK2 Escort that I bought for about £50 at the same time, which I left on a car park in Bulford Camp when I got posted to Germany. Annoyingly, I visit that camp monthly and go in the exact same workshop that I worked out of back then, but the car is not there now Edited October 6, 2021 by dt36

I bet there are parts of it scattered all over the Plains 😁

PeteRS8084
Back in the day I sold my LHD rs2000 mk2 in 1984 and bought the first xr3i on our camp in Germany. £4400 duty free, oh happy days in BAOR LOL!

Vista Estate
Whilst I would like to turn back the clock and buy a P reg Mk2 for £290, I also remember the downsides. Those front drum brakes got the heart pumping 😂😂 and could change the colour of your trousers😀😀
