sambo Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I just cant stop spending stupid money on the car. I have just bought some brakes for it to fit under the 13" wheels.... not cheap but only the best will do for my baby! When i get the wheels on, after shortening the axle, thats it. I cant spend anything else on it. It HAS to stop!!! Anyone else have this problem?

stuartp Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 i'd be the same but i just don't have the money to spend in fact my improvements have ground to halt for the moment can't even afford to get the little bit of welding done so i can fit the new carpet
MM77 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 can't even afford to get the little bit of welding done so i can fit the new carpet Thats funny, exactly the stage where I left mine today.
sambo Posted January 5, 2010 Author Report Posted January 5, 2010 Thats the trouble!! i cant afford it!! I will hopefully get my money back or most of it when i sell my brakes that are on the car but even so, .... i guess thats what overdrafts are for eh. I am meant to be saving for a house as my parents have been kind enough to put me and my girlfriend up until we find a place! i feel guilty
Andrade Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Anyone else have this problem? Possibly 90% of the people on this forum loll - to go by the problem i had to create a savings account on internet banking, put some money there, and the left over i can spend on whatever i want (car) - then it's just a matter of resisting moving the money outside the savings account (because deep down you know it beats the whole purpose). ehhh... cars....

Admin Vista Posted January 5, 2010 Admin Report Posted January 5, 2010 I sort of do and kinda don't have that problem I do because many people outside our circle would think I'm completely barking for spending what I am on a van........................ but on the other hand I don't because I had a plan for what I wanted way before it started and I'd researched quite accurately what it would cost before it kicked off. Plus, I'd had been saving for a long time to create an unusual one off project and had most of the money put away before it started, the rest has been juggled around 0% credit cards (I love spending the banks money for free! )
sambo Posted January 5, 2010 Author Report Posted January 5, 2010 i just cant bring myself to compromise on it. It had awesome brakes on it but they are too big for the 13's so, i have treated it to a set of AP's. No wilwoods for my little baby!! (no offence to Wilwood brakes but the general opinion is that AP's are the knackers). Besides.... you shouldnt skimp on brakes should you!? Especially when there is a pokey engine waiting to be fired up in the bay! I just cant tell the missus how much it all costs or i would be murdered!
