jacko1991 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Share Posted March 30, 2014 Hi all 271433309498 itm number on eBay for photos For sale is my mk1 escort It is a 1973 1300xl 4 door It has disk brakes with servo , Capri laser 4 spoke wheels in ok condition with 2 good tyres and 2 bad tyres Non standard front seats , but these are more comfy and bigger, mounteys steering wheel and standard also , 6 pot dash with yellow needles The engine is a actually a 1600 , recently refurbished with new 1300 pistons , it's all painted up with new gaskets and a head gasket set with it. It has electric ignition ,with new high power coil , I have two cylinder heads for it as the original has a small hairline crack but it used to run fine ,4 branch manifold , twin choke carb with K and n filter , The car has only 60'000 miles on it I have loads of history with this car including every mot since new , even the original sale of receipt , loads if service records etc , It has some new steering rack boots , new rod ends , new track arms , h The paint work on the car is not great but it's ok , it's previously been painted and sprayed in areas and is quite visible up close , the two wings have been cracking in the paint work and doesn't look great This has a new wing top panel and square headlight front panel , also I have the inner and outer rear arch so only metal work panels needed is slam panel . There are numerous patches and previous repairs on the car as it is now over 40 years old, the worst areas are the rear arch and the wing tops , the floors are reasonably solid as I haven't lifted the carpet in a year or so but it was ok .
