When the first one split several decades ago I did remove them all because I liked the European Mexico look without them but as I reinstated the stripes and other unique things about the car I got more nostalgic and often impressed by the small originality details on Ray's and other members cars here that I decided to reinstate them. Unfortunately that's a different shaped one up top and also has a protector strip cutout. You would be surprised how many types there are out there all with subtle differences! They aren't a set though like the seller claims, you can see the two different types one with angled sides and the others not. The type that came on my car are the more rounded sided ones but with one extra face on the top. Most like those in that auction seem to be flat on top then angled 90 degrees down to the front whereas my one has two faces to stem to the front instead. Also without the protector strip cutout. Its now getting ridiculous, maybe I should sell the three I have just to get some money back for a change! Ive been years at this and still cant get one laying down some heavy cash. LOL As Miniliteman will attest they were at 26 pounds with 60 seconds to go and finished at 180.
