Greetings from the North

Hi all

From Norway and new to the site :)

Currently got a Capri mk2 2,3 parts car that I've had sitting in storrage for 15+ years which I will hopefully get a chance to do more with now. Been put away due to sunroof flying off when I lended it away to my parrents and they opened the wrong latches. So it flew off on the highway. After that there were some guys that needed some interior parts so I sold some of the parts to them. In the process of stripping it now to get the rusty parts done with and get a full paint job done (Planned atleast) :)

My Ford history involves 2 Escorts mk4 '87 and '89.

Welcome to the site

How are you going to fix the missing sun roof issue?

Currently looking around too see if I can find the manufacturer.  Mailed a couple of companies, and as it looks now it's from a manufacturer named Webasto (model Hollandia-100) which seems to be the correct one. In the mail it seemed to me(with my bad English knowledge that it was the correct one atleast 😅)

"Your vehicle has already been equipped and delivered with it in the AUTOMARKE factory. Although this is originally a Webasto product, it was sourced from Webasto by Ford as part of a large series contingent. With this general framework agreement, Webasto is automatically prohibited from intervening in sales and the procurement of spare parts. Webasto would be liable to prosecution if we supplied you directly as an end customer. Such large contingents and the associated framework agreements are common for all car manufacturers for series installation and cannot be avoided by Webasto.

Of course, Ford has its own sales structure, which also includes the procurement of spare parts. We therefore recommend that you contact your Ford car dealership directly, because only Ford authorized workshops and car dealerships can find out whether Ford offers the part you require as a replacement part by making a direct inquiry to the Ford parent company.

Unfortunately, we can therefore not provide any information on the spare parts for this roof approved by Ford.

We regret not being able to help you directly with your request and remain. In the case of roofs that are installed later, the sale of spare parts is carried out by the Webasto service partner. If it is a roof that was installed later, a KBA number should be noted on the inside of the frame."

So will take a trip to the storrage and check in on it in the end of the week to check out if I can find some extra info which I might've overlooked when I first did a check on it.

I can tell you now that Ford aren't going to be interested (or even able to) in selling you a Webasto roof for a mk2 Capri
