escortmad79 Posted July 16 Report Posted July 16 Blue automatic mk2 Granada Ghia X estate registration OO39 was stolen at around 11am from the driveway of a house in Marshall Crescent, Wordsley, West Midlands on Tuesday 16th July 2024. The car has been off the road since 2007 & was taken using a white Transit recovery truck. The car is covered in muck having sat for many years, has rust on the near side rear arch, the chrome trim is coming off the rear window & the overrider & trim is missing from the offside of the rear bumper. The tyres have also lost some air.
Vista Estate Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 In this country you can walk out of a supermarket with £199 of goods and nothing will happen to you. So stealing our classics in broad daylight isn't much of a step up. We have too many pathetic politicians who are spineless. We need to start having real sentences for bottom feeders. 1
Dave Knight Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 You’re right Mark, no consequences. The whole place has gone down the pan! The stealing of classics is happening far too frequently. 1
mk2esccy Posted July 24 Report Posted July 24 I take it there's no cctv of the reg . someone has clearly been staking it out. No doubt lying on a site nearby

PeteRS8084 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 You would like to think so, but as we all know they won't arrest someone who nicks your car even if you have a perfect portrait of them from cctv!
Ray Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 police are not interested in stolen vehicles, as i found out to my cost a month or so ago, as far as rheyre concerned, they issue you a crime no over the phone for you to claim on your insurance, thats their job done 2
Ray Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 My transit was stolen from my driveway at 2am by 3 nasty looking thieves, we have it all on camera police were only interested in giving a crime incident number over the phone to enable an insurance claim they don’t have the resources to do anything else Van was found stripped and dumped 2 days later on what looked like an industrial estate in tilbury and deemed scrap 1
