Dave Knight Posted October 18, 2024 Report Posted October 18, 2024 Looks like it died in 1985 according to the, DVLA. I remember these prices in the Autotrader. I bought my mk2 Mex for 895. 3
stephens_xpack Posted November 18, 2024 Report Posted November 18, 2024 I remember my first car being £650. Mk1 with bubble arches. Those were the days....😎 1
GrahamU Posted November 18, 2024 Report Posted November 18, 2024 First car was a mini for 400, first ford was an Anglia with a 1500GT fitted for 500 1
accord83 Posted November 19, 2024 Report Posted November 19, 2024 First car was an Anglia 1200 Super, £75 with a spare engine in the boot. It had so much filler that I was in risk of asbestosis just driving it, the seat was prevented from falling through floor by a length of wooden floor board. It had an 11 month test, I was a month off my 17th birthday, when I got it home my dad leant on the drivers door, the hinge snapped and the door then ended up in his hands! Passed my test in it. Happy Days! 2
Rally Pack 2000 Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 Mine was a first series Mazda Bongo van. Was given it in high school and had no seats in the back just ten other school kids hanging out the side door. Just a box on wheels like this. Now however they turn them all into street machines putting rotaries in the back of them! 1 1

Fantastic Japanese madness with almost enough power to break an urban speed limit! I did own a Bongo Freetop 2 with rear wheel drive, an LSD on the back, 2.5 TDI, and auto. Great bit of kit. 1 1
Dave Knight Posted November 22, 2024 Author Report Posted November 22, 2024 Love the 60’s-70’s Japanese designs. Early Nissan Urvans 👌 1
