Two classic Ford Escorts have been stolen from a location in Catforth, Preston, Lancashire between Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 20th November 2024. The first car is a white mk1 Escort Mexico registration number NOW866M. The car has been fully restored back to original spec & has red Mexico stripes. The car is immaculate. The second car is a mk2 Escort Rally Car project registration number FCY48W. The car was being built & was unarched. It has a group 4 front spoiler, front grille & brand new (black primered) doors fitted. The car has 6 PIAA spotlights. There is no glass in the car. The car was having a wiring loom made up. Inside the car, there is a full roll cage with door bars & double crossover bars in the back. The car has OMP bucket seats, a suede steering wheel & a fire extinguisher on the passenger floorpan. There is an intercom & a Monit rally (trip) computer. The car has a dummy Pinto engine fitted & has a bare axle with shafts but no diff. The car is 4 linked with a Panhard rod & Bilstein coilovers on the rear. Up front the car is fitted with Bilsteins & has big AP brakes fitted. The car also has Roger Hicks Power steering fitted & there is a strut brace fitted in the engine bay. The car is fitted with Minilite wheels wit A2’s on the front and Maxxis R19’s on the back. Both cars were taken along with a 6 wheeled Brian James T6 trailer & a Brian James RS3 race shuttle The mk2 was seen on the back of a white 63 plate mk7 Transit recovery truck on the M6 at 6:45PM & then parked on the roundabout near the Starbucks on New Chester Road, Birkenhead by the M53 at around 7:30-7:45PM on the night of Wednesday 20th November 2024. escortmad79 Posted November 23 Author Report Posted November 23 RECOVERED Both Escorts stolen from Preston on the 20th November have now been RECOVERED in a car park in Birkenhead along with the race shuttle. The rally car is missing the following items: Tony law exhaust manifold Tony law complete exhaust system front to back 6 PIAA spot lamps on brackets Stilo DG10 intercom Monit G100 Trip Meter Twin Pacet pumps and stand in black The tri-axle Brian James trailer is currently still missing. 2 1 1
Dave Knight Posted November 28 Report Posted November 28 Excellent news. If the police could just do some more digging, surely the direction of travel from Preston to Liverpool is littered with cameras, ANPR et al? Start making an example of these parasites. 😡
