Daddio Posted December 8, 2024 Report Posted December 8, 2024 No, but watch this....https://fb.watch/wlQHMp4dPN/ from Drive Torque Podcast. Maybe best to not copy rally 'group' detailing too closely? Food for thought.
Farnsbarns Posted December 10, 2024 Report Posted December 10, 2024 Strictly speaking he's incorrect. Modifications are OK as long as it can be demonstrated that the modification was being done within 10 years of the end of production. In the case of escorts, Ford offered a roll cage option and many thousands were fitted by the end of 1985, so going by the DVLA's own guidelines, they are allowed. Furthermore, modifications made purely for safety reasons are allowed. It would be hard to argue that a roll cage has a purpose beyond safety. Despite that, some people have had problems. Some have rolled over, others have fought the DVLA legally, and won.
accord83 Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 What about the plastic pipe cages that the Nova boys used to fit with silcone back in the day?😂😂 (asking for a friend)

The roll cage I have, was in the car when I bought it back in 2003, and I think the previous owner said it had been in there since about 1980. honest.......... 1

Miniliteman Posted December 15, 2024 Report Posted December 15, 2024 So is RP the Australian abbreviation for Cross-Dresser or does it simply mean Role-Play and is the 2000 the amount you charge for an evenings entertainment? 👗 👠 3

Im not a very nice person but you guys already guessed that 🤣 On 15/12/2024 at 23:04, accord83 said: Should've bought a Monaro and worked on it in cut offs and a wife beater vest😂🤣 I had to look up what a wife beater vest even was! Daddio Posted January 8 Author Report Posted January 8 So, cages should be ok, thanks all for the great clarifications people. Not putting one in my 4-door tbf, probably slow it down too much (but hopefully my tarty dresses in the boot won't affect speed too much.....)😉😉
