Radders226 Posted Thursday at 05:00 Report Posted Thursday at 05:00 Hi, Does anyone know of any specialists that can rebuild a steering box for a pre-aeroflow Mk1 Cortina, preferably in the Essex area? I've been told that they can be adjusted, although not by any Steering box experts, or by anyone that's ever done it, if you know what I mean. Thanks.
Johnny Boy Posted Thursday at 06:52 Report Posted Thursday at 06:52 They can be adjusted, there is i square headed bolt and lock nut on the box. that can be adjusted to take out the play/wear in the box.

Hi, I've been told that the aeroflow and pre-aeroflow steering boxes are different, so are they both adjustable? Do you have any pics of what the square headed bolt and lock nut look like, because I cant find it on mine. Thanks
Johnny Boy Posted Friday at 21:10 Report Posted Friday at 21:10 All steering boxes are adjustable. I would get yourself a repair manual, and read up on the correct procedure. Its the bit in the middle of the end plate on the left of the pic.
