Dave Knight Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 Is it just me. Every feckin time I open the garage door to get the car out, it rains. It’s happened on several occasions now. 🤦♂️ To be fair, it never stops raining here in Manchester. We don’t suntan here we just all rust. 1
Johnny Boy Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 Yes it does, and where I live its all muddy country lanes and tractors too😟 2
Nige65 Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 My property is accessed via a public bridleway that the owner or neighbour doesn’t maintain, I constantly fill in the potholes, it deteriorates quickly with the high volume of rain that we’ve had, the cars also get dirty every time I take them out this time of the year ☹️ 1
Dave Knight Posted April 3 Author Report Posted April 3 (edited) It’s been raining here since 10am, and still it comes. May as well buy a bastarding Ark! Edited April 3 by Dave Knight 2
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted April 5 Moderator Report Posted April 5 It rained for 5 mins today, it was glorious and welcome and for the first time in weeks I dont have to water the plants to prevent them from drying out. 1

Haha, we lived in Burnage for a while & have to say we did notice a "little" more tendency to rain than just a few miles further south in Cheshire! Just be thankful you have a garage to open up to the rain, I'm working on driveway! It's the wind doing us in here though mainly, gusts trying to knock the bonnet prop out, blowing my hat off, it's even been blowing tools under the damn car it's been that strong. Calmer today though, hoping to get a bit of a Buxton/Cat n Fiddle run in later.

ekjdm14 Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 (edited) We were on Brayside up near the park! They'd just finished the mural by Sifters when we were moving out... (if you ever went up there last year or so you probably saw my old tractor out front lol) small world. Edited April 6 by ekjdm14
Dave Knight Posted April 6 Author Report Posted April 6 My mate Ricky lived on Brayside Road, as did my mates dad Bernard. He had a bike and side car, like Olive from On the Buses. 🤣 Small world indeed.
ekjdm14 Posted April 7 Report Posted April 7 Haha cool, I'd imagine Bernard knew the fella down Leafield ave probably, old bike courier and (IIRC) founder member of NABD. Wish I could remember his name now, he gave my youngest lad a GS550 project bike for a donation to the charity. 1

RP2000 you're more than welcome to help yourselves to 95% of our rain, I'm sure we'd still get by with only minor flooding from the other 5% & they ban us from using hosepipes through summer anyway so might as well give them a reason for it... 2
