quickrack Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 I bought new bumper mounting screws. Black ones. And they are now rusty where I had the audacity, nay the unfettered gall, to touch them with a screwdriver......... Apart from spending a frankly ridiculous amount of time and effort to learn A) how to plate and buy everything needed to plate my own, is there a way to fix this? I'm not fussy really about it but IΒ mean they are days old. What will they be like when I need to remove the bumper in a year or threeπππ²π²πππ€π€πππ Abuse, advice or laughter welcomeΒ
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted September 27 Moderator Report Posted September 27 Your using black bumper bolts on your chrome Mk1 bumpers?
quickrack Posted September 27 Author Report Posted September 27 No. I have several. This one is 1997 estate. The one for camping with the kids etc. (if all else fails the rear flattened out is more than big enough for kids to sleep in.)
