***East Midlands Retro meet 14th April***

Right then it is getting to that time of year again when the nights are starting to get a little lighter and the clocks will be changed by then too

The meet will be held at the Festival inn, Trowell, Notts, from around 7 pm onwards on the 14th April,

this location is chosen due to it having a quite large carpark with room for more if it gets really busy.

This is the 2nd Wednesday of the month and all the ones through the year will be on the 2nd Wednesday

Lets try and get the East Midlands scene more noticed in 2010

If you know of people with a retro car tell them to come along, if you know of any other forums based around retro cars and have members in the East mids let me know

Last year the best car count we had was around the 26 mark, I want it to be exceeded on more than one occasion if possible this year

On a final note can I ask for limited wheelspins, burnouts, and fast driving in the carpark and on the way out, don't want to be upsetting the locals and having to try and find somewhere else. (dont mind so much at the end of the season as theres a few months for them to forget)

would have loved to but mid week isnt so good for me as the kids have school

fear not as i will be trying to tie in a couple of weekend meets this year when there isnt a show, or even a run out to some local shows

I hope to be there, fitting a 1700 xflow next week and hope to have it all checked and ready to roll. Still no respray so it's looking a bit rough at the moment.

mines on the road now,so will be getting out, the weathers not been nice either, so is it 2 weeks on wednesday at the festival then. if its dry i,ll be going to that classic car meet on tuesday up near south wingfield,something moor, think its the oak pub. can find out if anybodies interested

there is a bit of interest on Retrorides so there should be a varied range of motors

ide be a bit more interested again if it wasnt midweek,its probably a 45-50 mile run for me down the a50 and again work and kids tie my time up.

I'll be there but not in the escort, the engine is in and just about ready, beaten by one old hose, have it on order but don't think it will be here in time. Still coming for a pint and a chat.

the turnout was pretty good compared to last month not to worry i can send you a reminder before the next one on FB. the only fords there were a puma focus ST and Micks engine and running gear pics will be up later
