I used to live near Bournemouth in the South of UK. When I was in my teens our next door neighbour worked for Ford UK & was fairly high up in the food chain. As a Ford employee he got a 4-door Orange 1600 Sport specially built for him. I remember it in the driveway when it would have been a couple of years old. Back in the day, some employees could access the factory build computer, (such as it was), & change codes around to build 'specials'. I believe this how such non production versions may have came about? Paul
