Hi I am after fitting a Smiths 70's rev counter to my mk1 escort does anyone know how hard they are to fit? Its an 1100L model. I would really apreciate any help Cheers

Yep im pretty sure they are i call em granny trims

Yeh someone did say that on the anglia web site It might be a collector whos got it or something cause they like to keep em in garages and never take em out to shows etc.

Dont sound to bad mine had stood for 9 years outside and had started to be buried by bramble and soil and leaves and other crap. I was quite lucky because i didnt have to pay for it as the man was a customer of my dads and he knew i was after a mk1 so he let me have it.I had to dig it out with saws and stuff and get it trailered home which cost me £70 so i was very lucky there. Its all posted up under projects and restorations. Good luck with your one

That was on ebay was'nt it looked clean ive got a 4 door its an 1100L thats an XL isnt it. 25 come on there has to be a few more

I dont really know how to and plus im not sure i would anyway i like it as it is i think it looks smart If i was gonna do it i would buy a cheap one to do it with incase you muck i mucked it up
