Very nice mate
-
unbelievable!!
-
Wow, very nice before's and after's in here
-
I know this is an old thread but crossflows fading away....never!! I loved my old crossflow, it wasnt the fastest but it was very reliable and sounded pukka! cant wait to see the pushrod'd cars running up pod this year
Also ron harris is building a 2 litre steel pushrod for jon harris's latest anglia project so that should be interesting to say the least!!
-
You know that!! Dropped some extra cash down to grandad earlier to get pistons etc so the bottom end looks to be getting along nicely
-
Yea toby i thought id keep him busy with yet another build, he is slowing down now though so its just one engine at a time and not four!!
Dave i was going to call you the other day when i was stripping my car down but remembered i no longer had your number due to a lost phone can you pm me your number again mate
-
Nice one young man and congratulations on finishing your exams Make sure you get round to your grandad's and keep the tea flowing while he works his magic in that shed !
Thanks jo, it seemed like my exams would never end! Ill hopefuly be attending a few osf shows nearing the end of the summer so fingers crossed
-
what are you having done to it?
from the pics i see the other week it looks mint already.
Just a few imperfections to be honest, the only thing, is it was a one off colour so they couldnt match it so i just decided to have a full respray at a very reasonable price
-
I'll be sure to keep people posted on the process. Thanks for the reply's

After 2 and a half years of nothing happening to my escy ive finally passed my exams and got some dollar to spend on it. Tony from plough lane coachworks came to pick it up today so off to have a new make over and a 2.1 pinto is underway in my grandads shed I realisticly would like to get it up and running for brighton speed trials so fingers crossed!
-
Nice power
-
Im looking for a rocket box too, hard to find these days. If you dont do motorway journeys then a 4 speed is best for street and strip, plus the type 9 is heavier
-
Thanks for your comments, im still on the look out for a 205 pinto at the mo and i have big plans for 2011. After being a by-stander for almost 3 years at the shows im
hungrier then ever to get my car back on the road! It should be attending osf shows in march/april next year and i cant wait
-
Sorry for the large pics, any ideas on how to down size them would be a great help

With 2 years just sitting in my dads garage i finally had to move my escort out to let the electric man in lol. After struggling to push it out i discovered a flat tyre and front binding brakes
The paintworks still in top condition but a little bubbling in one of the arches is an excuse for me to put it back in to respray Heres a pic of how it stands
-
Yea the anglia is still there to this day, its been sitting there for yeas just under a cover, think its pretty rotten now though
-
Was just having a quick look over the 'cars for sale' section in an old 2004 classic ford mag and couldnt believe my eyes when i spotted a standard 2 door mk1 escort, mint condition with only 47000 miles on it going for £1995!! Then i looked on in amazement at how cheap all of the cars were, very clean mk2 escort 4 door £750, showroom condition 100e with crossflow and lotus steels £2100!!!! I now ask myself has the OSF world gone mad on the prices of old skool fords?? Opinions would be much appreciated
-
I think if your really into your car then you should save up the money to get it done no matter what the cost is, it does look really nice in the pics, i was expecting a half rotted away shell the way you was going on
-
JBW minilights on the front and there copies on the back
Pukka mate, they look the nuts
-
Cheers Darren i only saw it last night as i normally skip the front page.
Absolutely lovely mate, a quick question, where did you get your wheels from posse??
-
3 a-breast - is that allowed? You'll have to do it like pool - winner stays on!
lol that sound like a plan, i actually pulled my car out the other day after two years of hibernating, it was a little dusty to say the least
-
Wicked joe see you at the lights
best get changing your engine then
No ill use my road one Are you up for it
are you on the m8
No just need my fix
See you at the lights then
Ill see you there too?
-
Looks nice jeff, shame to see it go but i think the 2 door is probably the better car for a project being right hand drive aswell. James was round mine a couple of weeks ago in his, he left two black lines down my road
-
I heard james was flying around the track, shame i didnt make it this year
