i wonder if any of you xe people can help?im running my xe with the manta big wing alloy sump but im using the standard astra/cav xe dipstick.after doing a little research i found out the mantas ran with less oil than the later fwd xe powered cars,so although full of oil it shows very low on the dipstick?i can lengthen the dipstick no worries but i wondered if any of you boys had faced the same issue?

oh dear i do like it when somebody (who loves to blow his own trumpet)gets a little slap in the face! In this day and age its not clever to be to full of confidence as there is always somebody with something a little different that will blow you into the weeds!! I say fair play to anybody who tries a different transplant!!! You can almost put money on the fact that as soon as the xe's and the jap missile motors start whipping the cossies,people will change there tune.

i had a set of escort tech.fit perfectly.

not a great deal really,rear discs need piping up,interior re-fitting,speedo cable and then its rolling road time to set her up and last but not least an mot!! Just a quick not to any one wanting to fit rear discs,most of my parts have come from a couple of friends of mine who have there own company building f2 stockcars,they have done my uprated shafts,rear disc plates,strut brace. They can make anything really and its all race proven!if anyone is interested in any bits let me know and i will get some info and prices for you.
