Any body know the codes for cars after 1970

 

Escort is AG

 

Cortina is BB

 

Granada is GB

.....................................etc

 

Need to know

 

84 FB

86 VB

 

Any Ideas...............?

fb=fiesta

vb=transit

thats the model range but parts do swap betwixt models and the two digits i.e. 84 fb means that particular part was introduced in 1984 simple for a sad old git like me.
