navigatoroneill Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 what a dilemma! do i buy a brand new Quaife ATB for a great knock down price or go the whole hog and splurge on a new total LSD. it'll be goin into a road going MK1 3L capri.
razersedge Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 my choice would be the lsd not the atb but i'll tell u what the diffrences are so u can decide what is best for u the lsd makes the power go evenly to both wheels as long as its under 50n/m or what the diff is set to but is more likely to need an overhal because it has minature clutch plates in it which wear out over time the atb applies more power to the wheel that still has traction the side affect is that if drive hard through corners there is a much greater chance of going sideways in other words if u drive hard in corners (like me ) then this might not be the unit for u the only reason i no this is i was going to buy one from rally design and the nice man behind the counter explained in simple terms (because im special) and then lost the sale hope this helps u decide which unit is best for ur style of driving
