I'd be really interested to know if anyone knows the whereabouts, or what happened to, my old Mk1 Mexico.

The registration number was SBF 118M and it was diamond white with red pinstripes. It was road rally prepared and still virtually immaculate when I sold it to a restaurant manager in Cardiff. It turned into a three piece suite and a fridge freezer when I got married years ago.

I tried tracing it through the DVLA recently with a view to trying to buy it back for old time sake but they were about as much use as a traffic cone (no offence intended to traffic cones)! All they would say is it's not currently registered on the road.

Come on now... I know one of you have got it hidden away somewhere halfway through a rebuild.

I can see by your photo that you have a passion for 'white goods' so I guess you have a fridge collection already (somewhere to keep your escort fridge magnets maybe?). If you want it you can find it on e-bay under the classification CLASSIC BRITISH LEYLAND CARS!
