help needed quickly xe capri

my brother sold his 205 block out of his capri and was gonna fit the 1.6 pinto for insurance reasons (but now his insurance doesnt matter )

 

now he has a spare xe to type 9 bellhousing (he got for another project) and i am trying to talk him in to putting his xe in

 

what else does he need to get the xe in ?

 

do 1.8 manta mounts go straight on to the capri cross member ?

 

1.8 manta sump and pick up pipe?

 

and a serria deisel clutch plate ?

i mean the mount positions ?

Cant imagine that the Manta mounts will be of any use. Much easier to chassis mount the engine with a kit from Rally Design or SBD.

Manta sump and pick up should be good. I had to make a steel sump for mine though, so would pay you to do some measuring before you buy one.

You'll also have to sort out the problem of the dizzy fouling the bulkhead. Lots of options depending on your budget.
